This new weekly online group singing & performance class will systematically unpick everything required to be able to sing and perform a wide variety of musical theatre repertoire.
Each lesson we will work on a specific song together covering things such as voice quality, character choices, acting through song, phrasing, dynamics, emotions, story telling & diction, everything required to squeeze every ounce of opportunity to make that song come alive! We will also explore alternative ways to perform that song and how you can make it your own.
At the end of every 6 weeks, everyone who has taken part in the online classes will be invited to perform in a FREE online masterclass. You will sing a song of your choice and receive feedback from myself, while the class learn from observation.

I've learned more from Marie about my voice in that past 3 months than I've learned over 20 years

Singing Teacher, Musical Theatre & Confidence Coach
Hi, I'm Marie.
I am a musical theatre singing teacher and coach with over 25 years experience in the profession, both as a teacher and a performer.
I trained as a professional actor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Although I spend most of my time coaching now, I am still very passionate about performing.
Most recently, I was privileged to have the opportunity to perform Andrew Lloyd Webber’s one women musical, Tell Me On A Sunday. Other performing credits include Annie in Calendar Girls - The Musical (BrassNeck Theatre Company), Arcadia (Endillion Theatre Company), Blitz Bride – The Musical (UK Tour), Just Like Anthea (UK Tour), Chess In Concert (Royal Albert Hall), Girls Night (No.1 National Tour), The Songs of Tim Rice (Henley Festival), Salad Days (Bristol Old Vic Theatre).
As a soloist, I have been lucky enough to perform in some of the UK's most prestigious venues, including The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Bridgewater Hall, The Sage and the Henley Festival.
I am an experienced Musical Director, and have worked with numerous leading theatre groups on shows such as Jesus Christ Superstar, La Cage Aux Folles, Les Miserables, Sweet Charity, Me & My Girl, Oliver, Oklahoma, The Producers, Betty Blue Eyes and The Wiz.
I am passionate about teaching voice and giving my students the best opportunity to develop their craft and artistry by combining my knowledge of how the voice works with performance experience. My teaching is based on Estill Voice Training and I am currently on the Estill Master Trainer Pathway studying with Anne-Marie Speed.
I run my own private teaching studio based in Leeds, am Head Of Singing at Damien Poole Theatre Arts, and founder and director of The VivaVox Choir.
I am a big believer in the importance of mindset, and on hearing more and more people tell me that they struggle with performance anxiety, I decided to train as an NLP Practitioner to allow me to give my students powerful tools to assist with nerves, stage fright and anxiety.
